About

Atrandi Biosciences develops single-cell analysis technologies powered by its patented Semi-Permeable Capsule (SPC) technology, which isolates tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of single cells within discrete, permeable compartments. Unlike conventional single-cell methods that limit the ability to add or exchange reagents, SPCs enable multi-step, multi-omic workflows on the same cell with full control over chemistry, achieving bulk-like chemistry with single-cell resolution. The technology unlocks applications including single-cell DNA and RNA co-sequencing for jointly profiling genotype and phenotype, single-cell microbial genomics for characterizing microbiomes at individual cell level, single-cell assay innovation for custom multiomic workflows, and single-cell cultivation for viable cell isolation and recovery. Atrandi also offers droplet microfluidics platforms for high-throughput screening and sorting with multiparametric fluorescence selection. The company provides application kits including the Single-Cell Microbial WGS Kit and SPC Innovator Kit, along with three platform configurations for custom workflows, screening, and scalable SPC generation. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, Atrandi has raised approximately $31 million in Series A funding from investors including Lux Capital, VSquared Ventures, Practica Capital, Metaplanet, GRIDS Capital, and SOFIGAMA.
