BTRY develops thin-film solid-state batteries that are the world's thinnest, measuring just 0.1 mm thick while operating reliably at temperatures up to 150 degrees Celsius and delivering ultra-fast charging within one minute. The company's innovative solid-state battery production process leverages platform technology and proven, scalable semiconductor equipment to deliver cost-effective energy solutions. BTRY targets three primary application areas: IoT devices (high power and long battery life for connected futures), MedTech (thin, flexible, and safe batteries for medical applications), and consumer electronics (fast charging and sustainability). The technology enables new form factors and applications previously impossible with conventional batteries. BTRY has won the HERMES Startup Award at Hannover Messe 2026 and secured a 2.2 million euro EIC Accelerator grant from the European Innovation Council to scale its thin-film solid-state battery production. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Dubendorf, Switzerland, the company has raised approximately $6.8 million at the seed stage.
