Cellugy is a developer of biofabricated cellulose-based ingredients designed to replace petrochemicals in consumer products, starting with cosmetics and personal care. The company flagship platform technology, EcoFLEXY, is a first-of-its-kind biofabricated powder cellulose that is adaptable, stable, and easily redispersed, offering a sustainable alternative to microplastics and petrochemical-derived ingredients. The EcoFLEXY product line includes EcoFLEXY Rheo for rheology modification, EcoFLEXY Sun for UV protection applications, and EcoFLEXY Color for colorant formulations. After seven years of rigorous research, testing, and iteration, Cellugy has positioned EcoFLEXY to revolutionize industries by providing a cellulose-based material that matches the performance of synthetic alternatives while being fully biodegradable.
