About

Epitel develops the REMI Remote EEG Monitoring System, a wearable wireless EEG recording platform for epilepsy monitoring and seizure detection in healthcare facility and ambulatory settings. The system uses only four truly wireless sensors that transmit single-channel electrical brain activity data to the REMI Cloud via a mobile application, enabling near real-time remote review on qualified EEG viewing software including Persyst Mobile. REMI Vigilenz AI for Event Detection provides automated annotation of potential electrographic seizure activity with confidence levels and duration markings, aiding qualified physicians in EEG review. The disposable, single-patient wearable sensors can monitor for up to 30 days, supporting adult and pediatric patients aged one year and older. The system is reimbursable using preexisting codes and enables EEG monitoring to be initiated within minutes. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, the company has raised approximately $12.5M in Series A funding. Epitel differentiates itself as the only truly wireless EEG system with just four sensors, enabling patient mobility and rapid deployment in both clinical and ambulatory environments.
