Proximity Designs is an award-winning social enterprise that designs and delivers affordable, income-boosting products and services for rural Myanmar farming families. The organization provides efficient farm irrigation systems including sprinkler systems and solar pumps, pest and disease services for healthy crops, and soil health and crop nutrition solutions for higher yields with fewer chemicals. Proximity Designs utilizes 3D printing technology for designing agricultural equipment parts and operates Proximity Labs for innovation and adaptation to climate change challenges. The organization has built multi-channel accessibility over two decades, serving rural communities through easily available local channels. Proximity Designs is part of the Climate Action for Smallholders Coalition, collaborating with six other organizations supporting smallholder land managers across the Global South. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Yangon, Myanmar, the organization has raised $14 million in funding from investors including Grameen Credit Agricole Foundation, Finnfund, Proparco, Norfund, Omidyar Network, and BIO Invest.
