Foundation Alloy is an advanced materials company that designs and produces engineering alloys with properties beyond the reach of conventional metallurgy. Using its proprietary MetalsFIRST solid-state manufacturing process, the company builds compositions and microstructures that melt-based processing cannot achieve, as the metal never melts during production. Foundation Alloy's molybdenum alloys feature grain structures roughly 100 times finer than conventionally processed material, delivering as-sintered strength, room-temperature ductility, and thermal stability without post-processing. The product lineup includes MC700 isotropic molybdenum (600-760 MPa yield strength, 35-42% elongation), MC1200 the strongest commercially available molybdenum alloy (950-1250 MPa yield strength, 97% hardness retention at 1000 degrees Celsius), and upcoming specialty steels and nickel superalloys.
