GameSalad

GameSalad is a game development platform that enables non-programmers to create and publish mobile and web games using a visual, no-code programming system. Launched in 2010, the platform has been used by over one million aspiring game developers and has powered more than 75 games that reached the top 100 in the App Store, including multiple number one titles. GameSalad offers three main products: GameSalad for Education, providing K-12 computer science curriculum with full lesson plans, in-class activities, step-by-step student tutorials, and live teacher support; GameSalad Learn@Home, helping children learn computational thinking and coding through game creation; and GameSalad for Developers, offering a free trial for building 2D games with no code. The education product is deployed in classrooms worldwide, with case studies showing measurable academic improvements such as a 3 percent increase in STAAR Math scores at Canutillo ISD. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, GameSalad has raised approximately $7.4 million in Series A funding from investors including ff Venture Capital, Steamboat Ventures, Greycroft, and Mercury Fund.
