About
GuRu Wireless develops proprietary long-range wireless energy transfer technology operating at 24GHz in the millimeter wave spectrum, enabling persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities for small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS). As the first and only company to provide wireless power solutions at 24GHz, GuRu delivers 10-100x higher power, 10x smaller size, and 100x longer range compared to competing technologies, with industry-leading SWaP-C (size, weight, power, and cost) characteristics. The platform enables drones to remain airborne indefinitely by beaming RF power wirelessly, addressing critical defense and national security missions where persistent flight is essential. GuRu has formed strategic partnerships with South Korean firms Uniquest Corporation and Arion to develop long-endurance drone systems for continuous ISR operations. The company grew out of research at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Pasadena, United States, the company has raised approximately $15 million at the Series A stage.
