About

Headmade Materials develops metal powders and feedstock for 3D printing applications through its proprietary ColdMetalFusion technology, a sinter-based 3D printing process that combines the advantages of laser sintering for plastics (SLS) with established powder metallurgy processes such as metal powder injection molding. The ColdMetalFusion process uses specialized feedstock that is free-flowing and optimized for processing on standard laser sintering systems followed by debinding and sintering, enabling economical series production of metal parts with the lowest investment costs among all metal 3D printing processes for series production. The technology achieves very high green part strength that simplifies cleaning, handling, and enables post-processing before sintering, while delivering metal parts with uncompromised material properties. Headmade Materials' material portfolio includes stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, tungsten, Inconel 625, and Titanium Aluminide TiAl4822, serving industries requiring high-performance metal components. The company offers scalable machinery solutions that can integrate with existing equipment and processes, and provides comprehensive 3D printing services from initial idea evaluation through process-reliable design and production, whether for in-house production or finished parts. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Wurzburg, Germany, Headmade Materials has raised approximately $7.1 million at the Series A stage from investors including AM Ventures, EIC Fund, b2venture, JetVentures, Matterwave Ventures, and BtoV.
