LocationMind is a location intelligence technology company spun off from the University of Tokyo's Shibasaki Laboratory, specializing in location data analysis, security, and global navigation services. The company processes people-flow big data through multi-layered data processing, provides analysis and visualization through its xPop dashboard and Mobmap time-series tool, and develops proprietary AI models for predicting movement trends. LocationMind has also developed patented technology for securing positioning signals (GNSS), addressing the security gap in satellite-based navigation. The company serves multiple divisions including professional data services, space-based GNSS signal authentication, indoor IoT spatial analysis using LiDAR and UWB, and international operations across six countries. LocationMind was selected for Japan's space strategy fund to develop next-generation PNT technology. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, LocationMind has raised $45.0M in Series B funding from investors including Shizuoka Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Mizuho Bank, Resona Bank, Miyako Capital, Mercuria Investment, and Hakuhodo DY Ventures.
