Mangrove Lithium

Mangrove Lithium develops modular, scalable electrochemical lithium refining technology for battery-grade production, using its patented Clear-Li technology to convert lithium chloride or lithium sulfate from diverse feedstocks including brines, hard rock, clay, DLE, and recycled sources into high-purity lithium hydroxide or carbonate. The modular design enables co-location with extraction sites, battery recycling plants, or battery manufacturing facilities, with scalable capacity adjustments. The process produces less waste, requires fewer chemicals, and omits capital-intensive steps found in traditional refining, yielding battery-grade lithium hydroxide at lower cost. Mangrove serves lithium producers, battery recyclers, and battery manufacturers across the supply chain, enabling closed-loop battery value chains and domestic supply security. The company opened North America first commercial electrochemical lithium refining facility in Delta, British Columbia, and is planning a 20,000 tonnes per annum facility capable of powering over 500,000 electric vehicles annually. Named to the Global Cleantech 100 for four consecutive years. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Delta, Canada, Mangrove Lithium has raised approximately $46.5 million in Series B funding from investors including BMW i Ventures, Breakthrough Energy, BDC, Mitsubishi Corporation, Asahi Kasei, InBC, Orion Resource Partners, and the Canada Growth Fund.
