Mobix Chip

Mobiks Chip develops automated metering infrastructure (AMI) to turn electric, gas or water grid into a smart one. Claims to use patented technology in their meters which enables signals to be simultaneously transmitted over the PLC network (via existing power lines) and over RF networks (radio transmission), thereby providing the ability to duplicate each other and check readings. It also uses a proprietary SoC, also known as TAMAR, based on the aforementioned technology and claims to provide significant advantages over competitors that transmit data through a single type of communication. The company is a joint venture between Mobix Wireless Solutions and venture capital fund Tamir Fishman Xi Ji ah.
