Nanofiber Quantum Technologies

Nanofiber Quantum Technologies (NanoQT) is a quantum computing hardware company building the infrastructure for networked, scalable quantum computing through cavity-QED-based, fiber-native interconnects. The company has developed a proprietary nanofiber cavity technology that overcomes the longstanding challenge of creating a cavity that is both QPU-ready and seamlessly integrable, enabling strong atom-photon coupling for scalable quantum interconnects. The technology maintains ultra-low loss (less than 1 dB/m), features extended nanophotonic structures over 1mm, achieves high finesse exceeding 4000 through low-loss fiber Bragg gratings, and is compatible with neutral atom QPUs and existing optical fiber networks. NanoQT’s interconnects operate at room temperature, support telecom-wavelength photons for long-distance communication, include quantum repeater functionality, and can parallelize hundreds of qubits within a single cavity. The company was selected for a NEDO PCA Phase with over $5.6 million in subsidy and publishes in PRX Quantum and arXiv. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with offices in Palo Alto and College Park, NanoQT has raised approximately $23.9 million in Series A funding. Investors include WUV, JAFCO Group, SPARX Group, Keio Innovation Initiative, Brevan Howard Macro Venture Fund, and Phoenix Venture Partners.
