No Isolation develops the AV1 telepresence robot that connects absent students with their classrooms, enabling children who cannot attend school due to illness to participate in lessons, maintain social connections, and support their reintegration back to the classroom. The AV1 robot weighs approximately 1kg, features a 13MP camera with 360-degree rotation, speakers, and microphones for two-way communication, and uses a one-way camera design that protects student privacy by allowing the absent child to see and hear the classroom without being seen, reducing pressure and anxiety. The robot acts as a bridge back to mainstream lessons, with 4 out of 5 pupils using AV1 returning to the classroom, and is 94% cheaper than home tuition for 25 hours of lessons per week. AV1 ensures continuity of education by allowing students to learn from their own teachers alongside classmates, hear conversations before the bell rings, and maintain a sense of belonging during extended absences. Over 5,000 AV1 robots are deployed across 19 countries, supporting 2,500+ schools and 15,000+ children who have attended over 100,000 lessons.
