About

Optimeos develops next-generation nanoparticle drug delivery technology enabling the use of biologics, peptides, and RNA to treat diseases beyond the capabilities of viral and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery. The platform offers two formulation types: CINCs (Coated Inverse NanoCarriers) for targeted intracellular delivery of mRNA, DNA, and other therapeutic cargo, and LINCs (Long-acting Inverse NanoCarriers) for sustained extracellular delivery of peptides over weeks to months. Key differentiators include unmatched multi-payload co-encapsulation capability for combining mRNA, siRNA, DNA, proteins, and peptides; enhanced tissue targeting with modular assembly to avoid liver clearance; superior dosing profiles with higher cargo content and precise release control; and tunable immunogenicity for repeat dosing or adjuvant-enhanced immunity. The pipeline includes hepatic gene replacement for Citrullinemia Type 1, in vivo T cell engineering for autoimmune and cancer indications, and a long-acting GLP-1 depot providing zero-order pharmacokinetics over 30-60 days. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Princeton, United States, the company has raised approximately $4.2M in Series A funding from investors including America's Seed Fund, National Science Foundation, and Hatch BioFund.
