Orbital Lasers develops compact satellite-mounted laser payloads for space debris mitigation and LiDAR-based remote sensing. The company designs and integrates laser systems with satellite platforms, providing orbital services to remotely adjust debris motion (detumbling) and perform environmental and asset monitoring from space. Selected for Tokyo's SusHi Tech Global Startups program, Orbital Lasers has established a partnership with Infinite Orbits to collaborate on in-orbit services utilizing laser-based detumbling technology. The company's technology addresses the growing problem of space debris by offering a scalable, space-based solution for debris management, while its LiDAR capabilities enable high-resolution Earth observation for environmental monitoring and defense applications. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with research and development centers in Kanagawa and Wako, Orbital Lasers has raised approximately $24.9M (3.02 billion yen) in Series A funding from investors including JSAT, UTokyo Innovation Platform, and SMBC Venture Capital.
