About
Orca AI develops a maritime AI platform that provides enhanced situational awareness for safer and more efficient shipping operations, empowering bridge crews with computer vision and operation teams with actionable insights. The platform comprises SeaPod, a marine situational awareness system for the bridge that acts as a fully automated lookout, detecting marine targets quickly even in near-zero visibility and congested waters with automatic detection, alerts, and target prioritization to reduce crew workload and human error; FleetView, an office-based system providing unprecedented visibility into maritime safety and operations for ensuring SMS compliance, meeting sustainability goals, and increasing profitability; Co-Captain, an additional bridge tool; and MasterView for fleet masters. Orca AI also provides perception systems for autonomous vessels. The platform has been booked on over 1,500 vessels and collected over 120 million nautical miles of data, achieving a 58% increase in SMS navigation policy compliance across a 107-vessel fleet. Customer results include $100,000 in fuel savings per vessel per year for Seaspan, a 74% reduction in close encounter events for Maran Tankers, and validated by Lloyd Register through an independent live trial at sea. Orca AI powered the world first autonomous commercial voyage in congested waters in partnership with NYK and the Nippon Foundation, and Samsung has partnered with Orca AI to integrate autonomous navigation systems into newbuildings. The platform serves commercial shipping and defense and government sectors, with solutions for situational awareness, GPS spoofing detection, and crew training. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, Orca AI has raised approximately $111.1 million in Series B funding from investors including Brighton Park Capital, MizMaa, Ray Car Carriers, theDOCK, OCV Partners, Ankona Capital, Lloyd, and Intel Ignite. The company employs approximately 169 people.
