About

Paragraf develops and manufactures graphene-based electronic devices, including Hall effect magnetic sensors, molecular sensors, and custom 2D material foundry services, using its proprietary direct graphene deposition manufacturing process. The company graphene Hall sensors deliver higher sensitivity and superior noise tolerance compared to traditional semiconductor sensors, operating from cryogenic temperatures down to millikelvin levels up to high magnetic fields of 30 Tesla. These sensors serve applications in quantum computing, where they detect magnetic fields causing decoherence in quantum processors, as well as in automotive for EV battery safety by preventing thermal propagation. Paragraf graphene molecular sensors use electrolyte-gated field-effect transistors (GFETs) with direct graphene deposition to provide a homogeneous electric field for versatile molecule sensing, enabling rapid and accurate biosensing and chemical sensing of nucleic acids, proteins, gases, ions, and small molecules for environmental monitoring, food and beverage, agriculture, and healthcare applications. The company also offers custom 2D foundry services for next-generation solid-state devices and VLSI circuits, and recently produced its first 6-inch graphene wafer at its Huntingdon facility. Paragraf is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Peterborough, United Kingdom, Paragraf has raised approximately $139.6 million in Series C funding from investors including In-Q-Tel, Molten Ventures, British Patient Capital, Amadeus Capital, IQ Capital, New Science Ventures, Serra Ventures, and Advanced Propulsion Centre UK.
