About
Quantum Space is a space defense and technology company that builds the Ranger spacecraft platform, a highly maneuverable spacecraft engineered for space defense, orbital mobility, and cislunar operations. Designed for the U.S. Space Force, Department of Defense, and commercial space operators, Ranger delivers freedom to maneuver across LEO, MEO, GEO, and cislunar orbits to 384,400 km. The Ranger platform features 4,000 kg of fuel capacity, 12 km/s maximum delta-V, up to 15 years of operational life on station, single-fuel multi-mode propulsion, a refuellable and modular architecture with 5 mission-configurable payload ports, and on-orbit refueling capability for both giving and receiving fuel. Protected by a deep patent portfolio, Ranger is engineered to reach geosynchronous orbit and beyond with up to 70% lower cost than conventional architectures beyond low Earth orbit. Quantum Space's spacecraft address three critical strategic priorities for national security: ubiquitous space domain awareness for continuous monitoring and actionable intelligence; denying first-mover advantage through distributed assets across every orbit complicating adversary targeting; and counter-space campaigning through sustained forward presence with 15-year operational life and on-orbit refueling. The platform enables space domain awareness, resilience, satellite servicing, surveillance, exploration, and national security missions, operating autonomously across orbits critical to U.S. national security. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, Quantum Space has raised $57.0M in Series A funding from investors including Prime Movers Lab, Sporos, and AnD Ventures.
