Reaction Dynamics develops hybrid rocket propulsion technology and launch vehicles for small satellite deployment, pioneering Canada's sovereign space launch capability. The company's flagship RDX Aurora rocket is a two-stage vehicle with a simple, robust design capable of launching payloads up to 250 kg to Sun-Synchronous Orbit. Using a patented hybrid rocket engine design that solves a 90-year-old problem in propulsion, RDX achieves low part counts, simplified production, and stockpile-friendly rockets designed for weekly launches and on-demand space access. The company also develops in-space satellite propulsion systems delivering high-density impulse for long-lifetime satellite mobility. Reaction Dynamics is partnering with Maritime Launch Services in Nova Scotia to establish Canada's first sovereign launch platform, making it the only G7 nation with independent launch capability. A maiden suborbital launch is scheduled for 2026 with orbital launch in 2028.
