RevBio develops TETRANITE, a novel regenerative bone adhesive technology inspired by the marine sandcastle worm, ending medicine fifty-year search for a bone glue. TETRANITE is a synthetic biomaterial bioengineered from the worm secreted protein that is the only patented biomaterial satisfying both required and desired properties for a bone adhesive: wet field performance, multi-surface bonding, rapid mechanical stability, and controlled biodegradability. The material undergoes a transformation from a pliable putty to a cement-like adhesive scaffold when mixed with an aqueous medium, reacting within minutes to yield a uniquely adhesive composite system that withstands tensile and shear bond stresses as high as 3 MPa, similar to the strength of human cancellous bone. The TETRANITE scaffold is osteoconductive and bioactive, leading to eventual replacement with new bone while maintaining mechanical integrity during load transfer. RevBio pipeline spans multiple applications across orthopaedic, dental, neurosurgical, and animal health markets. Dental stabilization targets 6 million dental implants placed annually with a $1.5 billion market, collapsing procedures from multiple surgeries over twelve months to one or two visits in six months. Dental bone grafting addresses a $700 million market where 31% of procedures fail. Cranial flap fixation targets 440,000 annual craniotomies with a $500 million market, enhanced by a $2.4 million NIH grant for first-in-human clinical trials with five patients enrolled. Fracture fixation addresses 675,000 annual distal radius fractures with a $500 million market. Animal health dental applications target a $950 million market. RevBio has also published results on bone regeneration in microgravity aboard SpaceX CRS-26 mission to the ISS.
