About

Scout AI builds the robotic foundation model for defense, developing FURY, a first-of-its-kind foundation model for multi-domain defense robotics. FURY enables collaborative autonomy with natural language, allowing warfighters to issue commands via voice, text, or map-based inputs to unmanned ground vehicles, with robots responding in natural language and understanding commander intent. The platform operates in real time in communications and GPS-denied environments without cloud infrastructure, using pre-trained generalized decision-making across diverse platforms and missions. FURY is platform-agnostic, deployable across all robotic form factors in all domains, with controls learned from real-world imitation data or simulation. The system uses vision-based passive sensing requiring as little as one camera stream (RGB or thermal), eliminating dependence on LIDAR or radar for stealth and reduced power. Built entirely from commercial off-the-shelf hardware, FURY supports self-improving adaptive learning at the tactical edge with secure over-the-air deployments. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Scout AI has raised $115M in Series A funding from investors including Booz Allen Hamilton, Draper, FJ Labs, and Decisive Point.
