Zygo develops wireless underwater headphones that leverage bone conduction technology to enable audio streaming and guided coaching while swimming. The platform allows users to play any app from their phone to the headset, stream music and podcasts, and receive guided workouts underwater through a transmitter that sends audio signals through water. The Zygo Z2 headset features enhanced audio quality, an underwater range of over 50 meters, longer battery life, lap counting, on-the-go charging, and a streamlined design. The companion Zygo app offers over 500 guided workouts, easy-to-use filters, a tempo trainer, walkie-talkie functionality for coach-to-swimmer communication, lap counting, and battery status monitoring. The system can be used individually with one headset and transmitter or as a group with multiple headsets sharing a single transmitter. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, the company has raised approximately $5M in seed funding from investors including Gaingels, Five Four Ventures, and Euston Ventures. Zygo differentiates itself through its patented bone conduction underwater audio technology that streams real-time audio from any phone app to swimmers, with 70% of customers using Zygo every time they swim.
