About

Thread AI develops an AI orchestration infrastructure platform called Lemma, designed for building, deploying, and governing AI agents and workflows in mission-critical, regulated enterprise operations. The Lemma platform provides a composable infrastructure where engineering and business teams can prototype and productionize AI workflows using a drag-and-drop UI, code-first SDK, or APIs. The platform is built on three architectural pillars: Control, which defines what agents can access and do; Governance, which ensures full observability and traceability of every AI action; and Reliability, which persists execution consistency. Thread AI targets use cases across financial services (client onboarding, KYC, underwriting, regulatory monitoring), retail and manufacturing (real-time market intelligence, BOM injection, campaign health monitoring), and enterprise back-office operations (invoice processing, proposal management, ticket triaging, compliance reporting). The platform supports deployment via VPC, on-premises, or multi-tenant SaaS, with SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance, AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, and PII redaction capabilities. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in New York, Thread AI has raised $26 million in a Series A round backed by Index Ventures, Greycroft, Homebrew, Scale Venture Partners, Plug and Play Tech Center, and Meritech.
