The company batteries achieve up to 4000 lifecycles and charge 10 times faster than existing batteries, making them suitable for electric scooters, power walls, hybrid vehicles, fast-charge hydrogen buses, aircraft auxiliary power systems, power tools, and UPS systems for data centers and telecom. Tiamat sodium-ion technology does not depend on lithium or nickel, reducing geostrategic supply chain risks. The company is planning a gigafactory in Amiens, France, with 5 GWh production capacity planned for end of 2030. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Amiens, France, Tiamat has raised approximately $34.2 million in Series B funding from investors including EIC Fund, Bpifrance, Arkema, Stellantis Ventures, MBDA, and CNRS Innovation.
