About
TrustPoint is developing a fully commercial Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) to provide significant performance, security, and reliability improvements over heritage GPS and other government-owned systems, leveraging an advanced C-Band LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite constellation. The company's system delivers better accuracy, quicker time to first fix, anti-spoof capabilities, and anti-jam capabilities, supporting U.S. Government position and timing service resiliency while enabling next-generation commercial applications. TrustPoint addresses the critical vulnerability of GPS dependency, which NIST estimates would have a $1 billion per-day economic impact if service were lost, and which CISA notes supports 14 of 16 critical infrastructure sectors. The system has been developed from the ground up to achieve the high performance, security, and availability required for autonomous navigation, critical infrastructure, and national security applications. TrustPoint serves four key sectors: Automotive (autonomous cars, trucks, and land-based robotic delivery), Aviation (commercial aviation, drone delivery, and urban air mobility), Critical Infrastructure (electrical power grids, telecommunication, and financial networks), and National Security (air, marine, mounted, and dismounted applications for the DoD and intelligence community). The company is bi-coastal with operations in Northern Virginia outside Washington DC and in Mountain View, California at the heart of Silicon Valley, with a team of engineers and entrepreneurs combining over 150 years of defense and commercial experience in cubesat missions and critical government systems. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Leesburg, Virginia, TrustPoint has raised $2.0M in seed funding from DCVC.
