About

Turbine develops an AI-powered cancer therapy management platform that virtualizes biological experiments, enabling researchers and pharmaceutical companies to simulate millions of experiments in silico before conducting wet lab validation. The company's Simulated Cell technology models cancer biology computationally, allowing users to test target discovery, combination design, ADC (antibody-drug conjugate) positioning, biomarker selection, clinical positioning, and indication expansion across 1,400 oncology cell lines, 1,200 payloads and drug-like molecules, and knockout alterations across 8,500+ genes. The platform offers three engagement models: vLab Core for simulating experiments on public and proprietary datasets, vLab Custom for leveraging client-specific sample libraries and drugs, and vLab Collaborate for simulating experiments on virtual endogenous disease models with wet lab-in-the-loop validation. Turbine reports 50 million simulations per day, 1.5x increased validation success through mechanistic hypotheses, and 2x faster timelines from scientific question to validation start. The company partners with major pharmaceutical organizations including MSD, Ono Pharmaceutical, and Accenture. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Budapest, Hungary, Turbine has raised approximately $61.7 million in a Series B round backed by o2h ventures, Accenture, Accel, XTX Markets, Boston Millennia Partners, Delin Ventures, o2h group, Atlantic Labs, MassMutual Ventures, and Day One Capital.
