UPMEM is a semiconductor company that develops processing-in-memory (PIM) solutions designed to boost data-intensive applications in data centers. The company Data Processing Units (DPUs) are integrated directly into DRAM chips, providing faster data access and larger bandwidth than traditional architectures by forming a network of co-processors in a scalable parallel environment. This approach eliminates the memory wall bottleneck that limits performance in data-intensive workloads such as AI training, big data analytics, and graph processing.
