Vellum

Vellum is a personal AI assistant platform that remembers how users work, learns their preferences, and takes action across the tools they already use. The assistant features persistent memory that carries context across conversations, days, and months, and can perform real actions including browsing the web, working with files, running code, managing calendars, sending messages, and using connected applications. Vellum develops self-improving skills that learn repeatable workflows and improve over time, with scheduled and background work that continues while users are away. The assistant can have its own email address, GitHub account, and Slack handle, giving it an independent identity within an organization's tool ecosystem. The platform is available on the web, macOS, iOS, command line, email, Telegram, and Slack, with an MIT-licensed runtime that can run in encrypted Vellum Cloud or on the user's own computer. Privacy is built in with exportable and deletable data, and no model training on user conversations. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in New York City, Vellum has raised approximately $25.5 million in Series A funding from investors including Rebel Fund, Eastlink Capital, Pioneer Fund, Y Combinator, Leaders Fund, and Socii Capital.
