About

Vijil is an AI infrastructure company that provides a trust platform for making AI agents more reliable, secure, and safe for mission-critical enterprise use. The platform addresses the critical gap where 95% of AI agents fail to reach production due to concerns about reliability, security, and safety from business owners, CISOs, and GRC teams. Vijil's product suite includes four integrated components: Vijil Depot, which provides hardened LLMs with prompt-injection resistance, production guardrails, and pre-configured agent templates to start secure development; Vijil Diamond, which tests entire agent systems including LLMs, tools, MCP gateways, and delegated agents by generating custom tests based on specific users, policies, and workflows, running continuously during development and production; Vijil Dome, which defends agents in production through multi-layer defense combining pattern matching, ML classifiers, embeddings, and LLM-as-jury with real-time protection in 17ms and audit trails; and Vijil Darwin, which continuously improves agents using reinforcement learning by observing real attacks and policy violations in production data to strengthen defenses automatically. The platform supports compliance with EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001, integrates with popular frameworks including LangChain, CrewAI, and Google ADK, and deploys on-premises. Vijil also contributes to open source through garak, an LLM vulnerability scanner, and lightweight prompt injection detection models. Recognized as a Gartner Cool Vendor 2025 and CB Insights Most Innovative Startup 2025, the platform reduces time-to-trust from 6 months to 6 weeks. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Vijil has raised $23.0M in Series A funding from investors including Mayfield, Gradient Ventures, Google Ventures, and Brightmind.
