VoxelSensors develops intelligent perception technology powered by its patented SPAES (Single-Photon Active Event Sensor) architecture, enabling spatial and empathic computing for Physical AI, autonomous robotics, machine vision, and extended reality (XR) platforms. The company's flagship product, LyraCam, is a 3D perception camera system that pairs SPAES technology with a novel Laser Beam Scanner to deliver high-accuracy 3D data with the industry's lowest Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (low SWaP-C) profile, achieving 10x power savings for XR applications. Unlike traditional vision systems, LyraCam integrates active event sensing with high-speed imaging to deliver synchronized, multimodal data capable of operating in challenging environments including high-glare settings, dusty conditions, and complex non-cooperative surfaces. VoxelSensors also develops PERCEPT, a low-bandwidth, low-power process for wearable devices that uses attention-based selective data gathering to capture only relevant human contextual data when it is relevant, enabling AI assistants on smart glasses to anticipate user needs, distinguish between casual browsing and genuine interest, and identify what draws the user's eye. The company has reached TRL 7 with the LyraCam/P demonstrator under the EIC Accelerator-funded SPAES project, and has started integrating its sensor with the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform for XR. VoxelSensors is a founding member and board member of the European Partnership for Virtual Worlds, and offers evaluation kits (EVK Andromeda 1 and 2) for developer integration. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, VoxelSensors has raised approximately $10.3 million in a Seed round backed by Capricorn Partners, Qbic Fund, Finance.brussels, SFPIM, and imec.istart, with additional support from the European Union under the InvestEU Fund and Horizon Europe programs.
