B'ZEOS

B'ZEOS is a blue-tech company that manufactures seaweed-based bioplastic packaging products as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuel-based packaging. The company uses green processing technology and biopolymer chemistry to source seaweed and produces SeaF and SeaT pellet formulations for applications including protective films, stretch films, flowpacks and pouches, wrapping films, trays, and blisters. The packaging solutions are 100% bio-based, home-compostable, and leave no trace of microplastics. Seaweed as a raw material requires no arable land, freshwater, fertilizers, or pesticides, and absorbs CO2 and excess nutrients while supporting marine ecosystems. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway with R&D operations in Barcelona, Spain, the company has raised $5.3M in seed funding from investors including MassChallenge, Faber, International Chemical Investors, Biotope Incubator, Sustainable Ocean Alliance, Norwegian Research Council, Innovasjon Norge, and Eureka.
