CREAL is a display technology company that develops light field display technology for augmented and virtual reality applications, aiming to provide natural and correct visual experiences by projecting real depth. The technology allows digital content to blend into the real world with true depth perception, eliminating the visual conflicts, eye strain, and nausea commonly associated with conventional VR and AR displays. CREAL light field displays simulate how human eyes naturally focus at different distances, enabling users to shift focus between near and far virtual objects just as they would in the real world. This approach addresses a fundamental limitation of current AR and VR displays, which present all content at a fixed focal distance regardless of apparent depth. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Ecublens, Switzerland, CREAL has raised $32 million through Series C funding from investors including the European Innovation Council, ZEISS, Swisscom, and FIT.
